Paulownia Wooden Box

Founded in the early 1860s (Meiji era) with 150 years of history, Hakoyoshi Kiribakoten have since been making wooden boxes using Paulownia wood known as Kiri in Japan. Some of their wooden boxes are created and used in imperial palaces, including the Imperial Household Agency in Tokyo today. Since then this traditional craftsmanship has been carried on and continued to the 6th generation till date.
